Road To Nowhere

A moonlight drive is seldom where I find myself.
Lost in a cold and distorted reality.
I gaze off into the distance,
The breeze brings tears to the brims of my eyes.
I feel the teardrops roll delicately down.

I walk along the shore and wonder in astonishment how alive the simplest coming of the wind truly is.
I look back and watch the waves rise up and wash away my footprints in the sand.
How many have walked as I have walked?
On this very shore, their footprints washed away amongst mine.
The only proof of their existence vanished into the waves.

Simply because something comes along and washes away the footprints you have made,
Does that make the memory any less vivid?

This carousel goes round and round.
Whether you decide to make the move or not is up to you.
To let its topsy-turvy persona sink my hope..
Or to push me to pursue farther.

When it comes down to it.
This is all about insecurities.
Being unsafe, yet secure in the vulnerability.
Step into this wormhole of the unknown.
Roll the dice.
Take your chances.
Come with me.

Don’t let go and let this tide pull you away into the current.
I will save you, but you have to let me.
Not a soul could know what this life has in store for us.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
But so is choice.
The choice lies within you to surrender your worries and woes.
Are you blind to my insecurities?

The real vulnerability lies with cowardice.
Succumb to my heart.
Take it as it is being offered to you.
Leave it, as it wont be yours forever.
